Telecommunications Coordinator / Administrator POSITION SUMMARY The Telecommunications Administrator reports to the Network Services Manager. Their role is to design, implement and support telecommunications systems to include data and voice technologies. This position will be a key role in the design, implementation and support of the organization’s MPLS, VoIP and Co-Location infrastructure. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Analysis & Design: • Analyze telecommunications requirements and recommend equipment and systems configurations • Formulate telecommunications systems requirements and procedures for processing and communicating data and other information • Assists in the design, maintenance and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans as well as network systems related policies and procedures. • Review and analyze the phone system/data communications equipment costs, long distance/transmission costs, and volume of phone/data related calls • Design systems to make appropriate use of available facilities and equipment • Keeps current with technology, evaluates and makes recommendations to the IT management team. Telecommunications Administration & Support: • Troubleshoot the malfunctioning telecommunications system of the organization • Consult with management regarding any malfunctions or problems of the telecommunications systems • Prepare cost and time estimates for the installation, implementation, and operation of new equipment • Coordinate the installation and implementation of telecommunication equipment and software features to include standard protocols for data and voice such as MPLS and TCP/IP etc. • Test the hardware/software of new telecommunications systems • Instruct user personnel on the application and capabilities of the telecommunications system • Participate in the planning and design of user training program and schedules • Monitor the operations of the system and services of vendors 2/27/2009 9:09:02 AM
Security Administrator POSITION SUMMARY The Security Administrator is responsible for information security systems to include devices, software and policy development and maintenance; design of security policy education, training, and auditing. The Security Administrator assists the Network Services Manager in designing, implementing and managing security systems as well as working with the organizations Corporate Compliance Officer to develop security plans. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Analysis & Design: • Responsible for defining security frameworks for existing and new systems. • Responsible for system security planning, developing, and implementing security policies across multiple platforms • Monitor and advise on information security issues related to the systems and workflow at ACCESS to ensure the internal security controls for the organization are appropriate and operating as intended • Ensures compliance of IT Security Policies • Conduct security research in keeping abreast of latest security issues • Conduct organization-wide data classification assessment and security audits and manage remediation plans Security Administration & Support: • Ensure successful implementation and maintenance of defined standards • Provides support in security management and security architect standards and documentation • Manages and support networking and security services in LAN, WAN and Internet network infrastructure • Manages security devices such as firewall, IDS, VPN, etc • Provides technical support and consultation for enhancement of and change to network security configuration • Provides fault resolution and escalation • Maintains documentation • Defines processes to manage the network security • Creates, manages and maintains user security awareness • Develop and publish Information Security policies, procedures, standards and guidelines based on knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements 2/27/2009 9:10:49 AM
Network Engineer MCSE Job Description NWCR is a technology integrator that is looking for a positive minded individual that enjoys an environment where they can learn many different aspects of both Data and Voice technologies. This "Rock Star" person must enjoy learning, interact with a variety of people, have great communication, enjoy a fast paced environment, have solid core values / beliefs. We must have a person that has at least 5 years experience in the field, preferably as a consultant or someone that has run a larger IT environment. The job will involve interacting with a variety of customers / vendors and troubleshooting / repairing all aspects of the network. This is a helpdesk environment, but candidate will be able to travel to various client locations and get out of the office on a daily basis. Skills Must be Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer 2003/2008 or equivalent. Knowledge of Sonicwall products or Cisco firewall products a must. A large plus would be someone that has knowledge of phone systems as well. Any background in SQL, ASP.net or PHP is a major plus.
